Reconnect with your whole person
My name is Jessa (she/her), and as a therapist, my goal is to show up with authenticity, warmth, and curiosity so that we may get to know your genuine and multifaceted self. Together, we can create an open and accepting space to explore old wounds, inner processes, relationships, and lived experiences. In doing so, my hope is that our work can foster a greater sense of peace, belonging, compassion, and understanding.
Deciding to connect with a new therapist can feel both exciting and deeply vulnerable. Whether you're new to therapy or you've been on your journey for some time, I commend your courage and am so glad you're here.
I work with adults 18+, who are experiencing a variety of concerns and specialize in areas of anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues. I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and have experience providing services to adults and adolescents in both specialized treatment settings as well as individualized therapy.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, which means that I operate from a non-judgemental and collaborative lens and will adapt our work to meet your unique needs. And while the modalities I use may vary depending on our area of focus, my work often centers emotional attunement, early attachment experiences and relationships, somatic practices, mindfulness, and self-compassion. In acknowledging that our inner worlds are deeply interconnected and shaped by our cultural, relational, and political environment; our work will explore your life context – your whole person.
I identify as a white, cis-gendered woman and am committed to the on-going work of recognizing and understanding the way in which my privileged identities and social location show up in the counseling room. I am welcoming to those of all backgrounds and identities and am dedicated to cultivating a safe and comfortable space for everyone to feel seen, heard, and valued.
Outside of the therapy room, you will find me out in the garden, near (or in) a body of water, or spending quality time with loved ones, which of course includes my senior dog, Margeaux.
